One of the critical aspects of ensuring that DSR will be useful when applied in electricity networks is that it must be very reliable (firm) and sustainable, i.e., equal to the reliability and sustainability which would be available from building the same additional network capacity. Individual DSR components generally cannot achieve this. However, Energy Response’s aggregation process provides the capability to mix and match the available DSR, replace any suddenly unavailable DSR, swap or cycle DSR to maintain a sustainable level and profile the aggregated DSR to meet the needs of the Network Operator. Our facility therefore adds significant value by providing crucial network support to NSPs during times of network constraints.
